Vocal and/or Guitar Lessons

 

 

Jeff Klingbeil is the lead singer and guitarist of Windsor heavy metal/hard rock band Betrayer. Co-founded by Jeff and drummer Shawn Bastien in 1996, they went through numerous lineup changes and released a 3 song EP under the name Swarm until deciding on the name Betrayer. With their present lineup unchanged since 2001, Betrayer has released 2 CD’s, Rusted Icons (2001) and Shadowed Force (2005) as well as their latest single Headed for Disaster (2007). Betrayer has received airplay on both 100.7 The Rock (Indie Show) and 101.1 WRIF (Motor City Riffs and Midnight Metal) amongst many other radio stations internationally. Throughout the years Betrayer has won many Battle of the Bands competitions, and have opened for such acts and events as Iron Maiden, Helix, Dio, Paul Di'Anno (formerly of Iron Maiden), Motorhead, Anvil, Edwin, and the Toronto Molson Indy.

 

Currently Betrayer has recorded a new album (soon to be released) during the summer/fall of 2009 with long time producer/engineer Glenn Fricker of Spectre Sound studio. The album was mixed and mastered by legendary heavy metal producer Fredrik Nordstrom who has recorded/produced such acts as In Flames, Opeth, Arch Enemy, HammerFall & Dream Evil (of which Fredrik also plays rhythm guitar for). The album art was completed by 5 time Juno award winner Hugh Syme who's done album covers for bands such as Rush, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Megadeth and Def Leppard.

 

Aside from his involvement with Betrayer Jeff has been regularly teaching guitar and vocal in the Windsor area since 2000.
